Welcome to our website

Prestonpans Health Centre was built and opened in December 1980 and upgraded in 2003. It has GP consulting rooms, practice nurse clinic and treatment room. In addition there are facilities for physiotherapy, podiatry and other visiting specialists.

All surgeries run on an appointment system, although provision will always be made for serious emergencies. Emergencies can always be seen where the doctor considers this is required on medical grounds.

Flu Vaccination Programme 2014

We now have appointments available for eligible patients to receive their annual flu vaccination.

It is recommended that all patients aged 65 years and over or those patients with a chronic disease, should receive the vaccination.

Children that are under school age can also receive a nasal vaccination from the surgery (school age children will be given the vaccination at school).

Please contact a member of our Reception Team to book an appointment.

Protected Learning Time

The Practice will be closed from 1.00pm on Wed 8th October for East Lothian wide training.  We will reopen at 8.00am on Thur 9th October.  If you require medical advice during this period of closure, please call NHS 24 on 111.  In the event of a life threatening emergency, please dial 999.
